There are many products in EU eco label, and footwear is one of them. The eco label for footwear was first introduced in 2002. In July 2009, the European Union issued the resolution 2009 / 563 / EC to replace the version 2002 / 231 / EC. It took effect on March 31, 2010 and was valid for four years. In 2013, the European Union issued a directive to extend the regulation to June 30, 2015.
Scope of application: footwear products produced, sold and retailed in EU (this is a recommended standard)
Footwear range: includes all clothing designed to protect or cover the foot, with a fixed sole in contact with the ground.
